Staff at Kessock Equine Vets

Keith Chandler is the principal veterinary surgeon and owner of Kessock Equine Veterinary Clinic. Keith is originally from Fife and he qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 1993.

After two years in general practice, he returned there to undertake specialist training. After completing his residency he worked for the Sultan of Oman in the middle east and a racehorse practice in Yorkshire before returning to Scotland to work at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies as a lecturer in Equine Medicine. He has published widely in the veterinary literature and his main interests are: equine internal medicine, stud medicine and care of the geriatric horse.

Keith also examines other vets who are sitting specialist exams at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London, each autumn. Keith also serves on the council of the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA), as well as lecturing to other vets throughout the United Kingdom. He is also a consultant to the Royal Army Veterinary Core, and the Ministry of Defence’s 500 horses.
